Terms of Service

Effective September 19, 2026. These Terms govern your use of Cal Collection at getcalcollection.com.

Cancel anytime. No refunds. You may cancel a paid Family subscription at any time to stop future charges. We do not refund, credit, or prorate amounts already paid, including unused months on a yearly plan, except where a law requires it.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and the operator of Cal Collection (“Cal Collection,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account, using the service, or paying for a subscription, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

If you subscribe, you also agree to Stripe’s terms for payment processing. Clerk provides sign-in. Those companies are independent of us.

2. The service

Cal Collection is a family calendar aggregator. You can collect calendar subscription links (such as ICS or webcal feeds), organize them, share them with family members, and publish one or more combined calendar subscription URLs.

We do not run Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, or any school, team, or other source calendar. Those products refresh subscriptions on their own schedule. We do not promise that events will appear in a calendar app at a particular time, or that a source feed is complete, current, or available.

Family auto-refresh, when enabled, is a best-effort background refresh. Intervals may change. Accounts can refresh on demand, subject to a cooldown. Adding a new feed fetches it immediately. Features may differ from marketing copy if a described capability is not yet turned on.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or buy a subscription. You are responsible for the account, for everyone you invite, and for keeping your sign-in secure.

Provide accurate information. We may refuse, suspend, or close accounts that we believe are abusive, fraudulent, or a risk to the service or other users.

4. Family members, children, and shared links

The person who pays (or who owns the household account) is the contracting customer. Invited family members may use shared calendars without paying us. You are responsible for what you share with them.

Public calendar URLs include a secret token. Anyone with the link can subscribe. If you post or forward a link, treat it as public. Rotate or stop sharing a calendar if a link leaks.

Calendars may include children’s activities. You represent that you have the right to collect and share that information with the people you invite. We are not a school, childcare provider, or covered entity under student-privacy or health-privacy statutes merely because a feed mentions a child or an appointment.

5. Plans, prices, and auto-renewal

The Free plan is optional and may be limited or withdrawn. The paid Family plan is a recurring subscription. Current prices are shown on the Plan page before you pay. As of these Terms, Family is offered at $7 per month or $60 per year, plus any taxes Stripe collects. We may change prices for later renewal periods after notice (for example on the Plan page or by email).

Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. Monthly plans renew each month. Yearly plans renew each year. By subscribing you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method on each renewal until cancellation.

Founder or complimentary Family access is a courtesy, not a paid subscription, and can end at any time.

A complimentary 14-day Family trial may start when you create a second calendar collection. When it ends, extra calendars you already created keep working; creating more requires a paid Family subscription unless another entitlement applies.

6. Cancellation and no refunds

You may cancel at any time from the Plan page using Manage billing (Stripe’s customer portal), which stops future renewals. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for. You keep Family features until that period ends, then the account returns to Free unless another entitlement applies.

All fees are non-refundable. We do not refund, credit, or prorate:

  • the current monthly or yearly period after you pay;
  • unused time remaining on a yearly plan;
  • partial periods, unused auto-refresh, or time you did not log in;
  • charges processed before you cancel;
  • fees because a source calendar, calendar app, or internet connection failed.

If a law in your location requires a refund or cooling-off right that you cannot waive, we will honor that law. For digital services that start immediately, you request that we start the service when checkout completes and, to the extent the law allows, you waive any withdrawal right to a refund.

If you reverse a legitimate charge (for example a chargeback) while still using paid features, we may suspend the account and recover fees, including processor costs.

7. Acceptable use

You may only use Cal Collection for lawful personal or household calendar aggregation. You agree not to:

  • probe, overload, scrape, or reverse engineer the service except as allowed by law;
  • upload malware or attempt to access another family’s data;
  • use the service to send spam or to publish content you do not have the right to share;
  • resell the service or share a paid login as a commercial product;
  • add calendar URLs that you are not allowed to fetch.

8. Your content and third-party feeds

You keep whatever rights you already have in names, tags, and calendar URLs you add. You grant us a limited license to fetch those feeds, store copies as needed to run the service, combine events into your published calendars, and display them to you and people you invite.

Source calendars are created by schools, teams, and other third parties. They can move, break, or include errors. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or licensing. You are responsible for confirming you may subscribe to each feed you add.

9. Availability, changes, and data

The service is provided as a hosted internet product. It may be interrupted for maintenance, outages, or changes. We may modify or discontinue features. We may delete inactive free accounts or data after a reasonable period, and we may delete data when an account is closed.

Export what you need. We are not your records archive. We use subprocessors (including Clerk for authentication, Stripe for payments, and our hosting provider) to operate the site.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT CALENDARS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, TIMELY, OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT EVENTS WILL APPEAR IN ANY PARTICULAR CALENDAR APP.

Some places do not allow certain disclaimers. In those places, we disclaim as much as the law allows.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, MISSED APPOINTMENTS, OR SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR CAL COLLECTION IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR $50 IF YOU PAID NOTHING. THIS LIMIT IS A FUNDAMENTAL PART OF THE BARGAIN. THE FREE PLAN IS A VOLUNTARY CONVENIENCE, NOT A GUARANTEE.

We are not liable for acts of Stripe, Clerk, calendar apps, source calendar publishers, internet providers, or anyone you invite.

12. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us, and our officers, contractors, and agents, from claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the service, your calendar URLs and shared links, your invited users, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, create risk, or if we shut the product down. If we discontinue the paid service entirely, we may (but are not required to) stop future renewals; prepaid periods remain non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

Sections that should survive termination do survive, including no-refunds, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and governing law.

14. Children

The service is directed at adults who manage family calendars. We do not knowingly sell subscriptions to children under 18. If you believe a child created an account, contact us and we will close it.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page and changing the effective date. Material changes to paid billing (including price and the no-refunds rule) will apply to later renewal periods after we post notice. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance. If you do not agree, cancel before the next renewal and stop using the service.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state of the operator’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Exclusive venue for disputes is the state or federal courts in that state, except that you may sue in small-claims court in a county where you qualify.

You and we sue only in an individual capacity. You waive any right to participate in a class, collective, or representative action to the extent the law allows. If a court will not enforce that waiver for a particular claim, that claim may proceed individually and the rest of this section still applies.

Mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence still apply where they cannot be waived. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

17. General

These Terms are the entire agreement for the service. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may assign these Terms in connection with a sale or reorganization. You may not assign them without our consent. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Headings are for convenience only. “Including” means “including without limitation.”

Questions about these Terms: use Cal Collection at getcalcollection.com or the email on your account.
